an airport run last night—and to one to which (note the stickler grammatician in her natural habitat, sticking—and sticking) i have never been. this still strikes me as odd. i faintly remember when i had trouble saying "aerodrom," which is not a difficult word but, nonetheless, persisted in gumming up my mouth. (by the by, it's four syllables, not three: "アエロ," not "eh-ro." how else can i put it that doesn't involve linguistic textbook drawings of the mouth, or a sound clip?) now that i know that i can get to its ghetto incarnateness in less than 30 minutes, using only public transportation, perhaps i will be hopping flights more often. except that saving 25 dinar, or even 1000, will hardly make up for the exorbitant prices involved in flying, well, just about anywhere from anyhere.
so: visit me. i will outdo myself and come to collect you.

I tend to agreement, but, seeing as how this is a public forum, we should present a powerful argument for the opposition.
"That is just the sort of pedantry up with which I will not put."
- Winston Churchill
The attribution to Churchill may be uncertain, but if he didn't say this, he probably should have.
Sweet Melinda
The peasants call her the goddess of gloom
She speaks good English
And she invites you up into her room
And you're so kind
And careful not to go to her too soon
And she takes your voice
And leaves you howling at the moon
Up on Housing Project Hill
It's either fortune or fame
You must pick up one or the other
Though neither of them are to be what they claim
If you're lookin' to get silly
You better go back to from where you came."
some people off it can just pull.
